First opening its doors in March of 2005 as a joint Meteor/o2 store, Rea Communications was established by Eoin Rea (B.Sc.Computers with Enterprise Studies) to provide mobile telecommunications services to the people of Bagenalstown and its surrounding areas.

The provision of essential services and our technical advice to our customer base saw Rea communications become one of the busiest independent retail stores under the Meteor brand and in 2007 we achieved a Top 5 status for the busiest Meteor stores in the Republic of Ireland.Continued growth saw Rea Communications add services for the 3 network to our store. However after many successful years’ operating under the umbrella of the major providers it became apparent that the market was changing.

After nearly a decade of operating as an agency for Meteor, o2 and 3, 2012 saw Rea Communications become a truly independent retailer seeking to offer the very best value to its customers. This evolution has seen us become a major provider of Sim Free Mobile Phones to not only the retail market but also the Wholesale market with a particular concentration on Independent Retail Channels. We now provide services for not only Eir Mobile, 3 and Vodafone but also MVNO’S such as 48 Months, Tesco Mobile and Lycamobile. This change has opened our store to a wider audience and gives our customers greater control and flexibility over their mobile Phone services provider.

 At Rea Communications we do our best to stock a wide range of accessories for the mobile phones we sell; accessories such as leather flip and gel cases, tempered glass screens, mains chargers, car chargers, power banks, pop sockets and OtterBox cases. However, the business has evolved over the years to encompass much more than mobile phones. We also stock Laptops and Televisions as well as a wide range of electronic accessories for Televisions, computers and Satellite Boxes.

We also offer phone repair services. While primarily focused on Apple iPhones,we can also repair other branded phones whether in store or in conjunction with our warranty repair partners.

Since 2013 Rea Communications has sold Electronic Cigarettes and E-Juice. We stock a wide variety of E-juice brands such as Hale, Wicked, Wick Liquor, Dekang and Witchcraft. We strive to offer a wide variety of flavours for our customers.

In 2009 Eoin started www.unlock.ie, a website providing an unlock service for those wishing to use their network locked phone with any service provider. 2016 and 2017 saw further expansion of this service with www.eireunlockers.net and www.unlock.london  joining the Rea Communications family. www.eireunlockers.net offers a great value phone unlocking service for the wholesale market while our new venture www.unlock.london sees Rea Communications enter into the UK Market for the first time.

Rea Communications has evolved from humble beginnings into an independent Mobile Communications retailer and wholesaler, serving not only the people of Bagenalstown and its wider communities, but now through our new website; the whole of Ireland and the European Community at large.
